When I cook, I use recipes for inspiration and add spices/seasonings to taste. The above recipe is the recipe that inspired this delicious chili.
I encourage you to make your food the way YOU like! Add or take away ingredients, jazz it up, make it yours!

I highly recommend adding some tomato paste to this recipe for additional depth of flavor.
I added 1 can of crushed tomatoes. You can reduce the water in the recipe to make up for the extra liquid.
I slow cooked my chili in a dutch oven style pot in the oven at 350 degrees until the sweet potatoes were tender.
Serve with cornbread and side salad and you've got dinner. Hope you enjoy!
